The technical term tor these trucks is a "Yard Spotter" or "Terminal Tractor". However, over the years these have been labeled with all types of names...Yard dog, yard goat, yard horse, shunt, shunter, hostler, yard jockey, trailer jockey etc...the list goes on!. We prefer to call them "Yard Mules" as mules are generally known as the workhorse.
